Zserver Storage

Zserver Storage protects information on hard drives, disc arrays (RAID in any configuration), and in storage area network (SAN) archives. The system includes flexible customization tools and event logging.

Disk Access Control

Zserver can control application access to the files on the encrypted disks. For example, you can configure a disk with the MS SQL database to be accessible only by the MS SQL server executable; no other applications, including MS Windows Explorer, will have access to this disk. When certain types of data must be available only locally, Zserver can prohibit access to these files via network shares for all users even with administrator rights. 

Alarm Signal

In an emergency, for example, in case of a perimeter violation, you can send an alarm signal from any workstation or from offsite via the Internet. The encryption keys will be erased from the server RAM, the encrypted disks disconnected, and the information will become inaccessible. A variety of sensors can be used to automatically trigger the alarm. 

Partition Re-encryption

An encrypted partition can be re-encrypted with a new key. The re-encryption could be done in the background, while users keep working with data.

Fast and Easy Start-up

Zserver Storage deploys with no server downtime. During the initial "background" encryption, users can continue working on the partition.

Optimized Performance

Zserver encryption procedures are optimized to make minimal impact on the overall server performance. Multithreaded encryption helps using of multiprocessor and multi-core server resources more efficiently.

Encryption Process

The initial encryption process can be interrupted at any moment, and then either resumed or reversed. An encrypted partition can be re-encrypted with a new key. The re-encryption can be done transparently for the users while they keep working with the data. 

Zserver Script Pack

To fine-tune the system, the supplementary Zserver Script Pack allows for creating custom scenarios on Jscript or VBscript. It comes with a number of preset scenarios for launching and terminating services or applications, sending alerts, disconnecting the encrypted drives, etc.
